We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist, Notifications to join our Core Engineering team.

**What you'll do:**

- Develop measurement frameworks and metrics to drive data-driven decision making, optimizing for the full user journey, including product recommendations.

- Clearly communicate recommendations to product and engineering leadership on how to evolve our Notifications strategy.

- Conduct opportunity sizing and analysis, writing clear, actionable analyses to help teams identify areas for improvement.

- Partner with product, engineering, and ML leadership to prioritize and scope projects, informing the development of the notifications user experience and ML systems.

- Improve machine learning models powering notifications delivery and content.

- Mentor other data scientists, demonstrating high-quality output.

**What we're looking for:**

- 8+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.

- Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and/or experimentation.

- Expertise in at least one scripting language (Python/R).

- Proficiency in SQL/Hive.

- Strong business and product sense, with excellent communication skills.

- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, iterating on a user product via A/B experimentation.

- Experience leading key technical projects and substantially influencing the scope and output of others.

**Benefits:**

- Base salary range: $164,695-$339,078 USD.

- Eligible for equity.
