## Description

We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic, naturally curious, and hard-working reporter to support our emissions and biofuels desks, focusing on rapidly expanding environmental markets in Canada.

The successful candidate will work closely with editors in Houston and Washington, DC, as well as with other editorial teams and management, data and production teams, business development, sales and marketing, consulting, and conferences.

Responsibilities include:

- Daily monitoring and assessing markets to produce news, analysis, price assessments, market commentaries, and reports on an array of carbon and biofuel products

- Developing and maintaining rapport with key contacts and liaising regularly with industry stakeholders

- External presentations and helping with multiple daily publication duties

Requirements:

- Graduate with a strong degree, preferably in journalism, economics, business, or a related field

- Legal authorization to work in Canada

- Demonstrated reporting, writing, and goal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

- Basic understanding of markets; experience covering physical commodity markets is a plus

- Commitment to the highest level of accuracy and completing all writing within established deadlines

- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Ability to synthesize complex information quickly and write market commentary, analysis pieces, and news stories in clear, concise language while adhering to strict deadlines

- Developing new contacts and self-motivation to drive projects forward with the ability to meet tight deadlines
