## Description

We are seeking a Full-time Farsi & Dari Interpreter & Translator to join our team at Millennium Translations Ltd in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

As an Interpreter and Translator, you will be responsible for providing consecutive interpretation and translation services in a variety of settings, including mental health, healthcare, and legal sectors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Interpret verbal communications in real-time into another language, with careful attention to context, meaning, tone, and technical wording.

- Translate documents, including scientific, legal, and literary texts, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed accurately.

- Attend booked assignments and drive to and from assignments.

- Adhere to high standards of professional behaviour, maintain confidentiality, and follow the Interpreter Code of Conduct.

**Requirements:**

- Fluency in English and Farsi/Dari, with cultural competence in your native language(s).

- Full UK driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

- Current, valid Enhanced CRB clearance.

- Minimum of one year's professional experience as an interpreter, with references to verify.

- Qualifications in interpreting, translation, or linguistics, such as MA, BA, DPSI, or Community Interpreting Certificate.
