## Description

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Vice President to join our team at Barclays. As a Senior SRE, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and improving software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.

- Promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing through code reviews and peer collaboration.

- Stay updated on industry technology trends and contribute to the organization's technology communities.

- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing practices.

**Vice President Expectations:**

- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.

- Manage resources, budgets, and policies, and deliver continuous improvements.

- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.

- Collaborate with other areas of work to provide business-aligned support.

- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought and adopt outcomes of extensive research.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience building and running highly available cloud and infrastructure platforms.

- Experience with deployment and operational infrastructure, such as CI/CD platforms and infrastructure automation.

- Demonstrated ownership of security and service infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

- Commitment to continuously strengthening service reliability, observability, performance, capacity, and resilience.

**Nice to Have:**

- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, Terraform, and configuration management.

- Expertise in CI/CD engineering, Git-based source control, and automated security controls.

- Familiarity with Digital Asset Technology infrastructure, such as blockchain/DLT nodes and cryptographic key-management infrastructure.
