As a Part Time Laboratory Assistant, you will support a fast-paced clinical research laboratory by handling, tracking, storing, and distributing biological specimens. This role is critical to maintaining sample integrity and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the testing process.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Receive, organise, and distribute laboratory specimens

- Prepare and manage samples for testing and analysis

- Retrieve specimens for add-on testing and laboratory requests

- Maintain sample storage, inventory, rotation, and disposal processes

- Transfer specimens to and from long-term storage

- Monitor specimen tracking and pending reports

- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory logs

- Follow all laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory procedures

- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory or related environment

- Basic familiarity with lab equipment and techniques

- Lab, healthcare, specimen processing, and phlebotomy experience is preferred

- Basic computer and documentation skills

- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

- Experience with laboratory information systems and specimen tracking preferred

- Pipetting experience preferred
