## Job Overview

As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at TEGNA Inc., you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing hybrid cloud infrastructure across Nutanix/VMware, AWS, and Azure to support the company's enterprise applications and business operations.

## Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and optimize hybrid infrastructure across Nutanix/VMware platforms, AWS, and Azure cloud services, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to provide expert hybrid architecture guidance and influence infrastructure strategy for enterprise applications.

- Develop and enforce infrastructure standards and governance policies across on-prem, AWS, and Azure environments.

- Lead automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.

- Provide Tier 3 support for hybrid and cloud infrastructure, performing root-cause analysis for complex issues.

- Oversee operational excellence, including patching, monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

- Mentor team members and champion best practices for hybrid cloud adoption, automation, and security.

## Requirements

- 5+ years of experience supporting and implementing enterprise infrastructure, with strong emphasis on Nutanix/VMware hyperconverged platforms and AWS cloud services.

- Proficiency in virtualization/hyperconverged platforms, Active Directory and identity integration, enterprise OS deployment and support, and cloud migration/modernization efforts.

- Experience leading projects end-to-end, including design, planning, execution, and documentation.

- Strong automation and scripting experience, including PowerShell and Python.

- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
