## Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Project & Change Team at Natural England. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance, coaching, and practical support to project leads, enabling them to adopt effective project and change management practices.

The Senior Project Manager will sit within the Business Partnering & Assurance function and act as a trusted adviser to the Services, Functions, and Area Teams.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing support to Project and Change Managers across the organisation

- Engaging with project leads, sponsors, and stakeholders to assess project scale, complexity, and organisational impact

- Applying project management expertise to provide coaching and mentoring

- Working collaboratively with colleagues to manage and prioritise requests for advice

- Promoting awareness and understanding of project and change management best practice

- Capturing lessons learned and emerging best practice

- Contributing to the success of the Project Management and Change Champions Networks

The ideal candidate will have:

- Practical experience of working on projects and programmes

- Knowledge of project planning methodology, business cases, risk management, and benefits management

- A strong track record of adapting communication styles and approaches

- Demonstrable ability to build constructive and trusted relationships

- Experience of operating successfully within complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments

- A strong track record in displaying personal excellence and corporate responsibility

- Experience of coaching and mentoring

- Hold a recognised Project Delivery practitioner level qualification

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

- Practical experience of supporting organisational change

- Knowledge and application of Power BI and Microsoft Lists

- Hold, or be willing to work towards, certain practitioner qualifications
