## Description

IOM is seeking a Programme Associate – Livelihoods to support the implementation of livelihoods project activities in Aleppo, Syrian Arab Republic.

The Programme Associate – Livelihoods will work under the overall supervision of the Program Officer (Durable Solutions) and direct supervision of the National Officer (Livelihoods).

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of livelihoods project activities

- Compiling, summarizing, analyzing, and presenting information/data on specific project topics

- Monitoring budget implementation and proposing adjustments as necessary

- Acting as a focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation

- Drafting status reports and identifying shortfalls

- Organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions

- Providing inputs for the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and concept papers

- Monitoring and analyzing programme achievements

- Coordinating with field staff and the Information Management (IM) unit to validate beneficiary data

- Contributing to the implementation of field team activities

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in social sciences, economics, business management, or a related field

- Four years of relevant professional experience

- Experience in designing and implementing livelihoods interventions targeting vulnerable populations

- Strong technical knowledge of livelihoods programming

- Familiarity with the Syrian labor market and informal economy

- Proven ability to support the development of business support services

- Knowledge of donor regulations and livelihoods frameworks

- Ability to coordinate with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions

- Solid understanding of conflict sensitivity, protection, and gender mainstreaming in economic recovery programming

- Fluency in Arabic and English
