## Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake to join our data infrastructure team at DWS Group in Madrid.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and platform components that power decision-making, reporting, and enterprise analytics.

Your responsibilities include:

- Designing and implementing robust ELT pipelines using dbt on Snowflake

- Building and maintaining data products for core domains including fund accounting, positions, NAV, and regulatory reporting

- Defining and enforcing data contracts, expectations, and alerts

- Designing and developing infrastructure components in Terraform or other IaC and infrastructure automation tools

- Collaborating with architects, security engineers, control functions, and other stakeholders to improve compliance, security posture, and reliability

Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience in data engineering roles

- Deep hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including architecture, performance tuning, Snowpark, OpenFlow, and Streamlit

- Strong dbt proficiency (models, macros, packages, testing, deployment)

- Very strong Python skills for pipeline development and tooling

- Experience with common enterprise data modeling, such as dimensional modeling, SCD, or Data Vault

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP), StreamSets, and Airflow

- Previous exposure to data governance tooling (e.g., Collibra)

- Understanding of asset management and the financial services data domain would be a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
