## Description

We are seeking compassionate hospice volunteers to provide essential support to patients and their families.

As a hospice volunteer, you will interact directly with patients and families, offering companionship and assistance in various forms.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing companionship and emotional support

- Running errands and assisting with household tasks

- Helping patients complete unfinished business

- Preparing meals

- Contacting surviving family members to offer bereavement support

- Assisting social workers or bereavement coordinators as needed

- Participating in office and clerical work, public relations, and fundraising activities

Volunteers are expected to possess excellent communication skills, be sensitive to patients' and families' circumstances, and remain calm in stressful situations.

This role requires a commitment to continue supporting patients until they pass away or are discharged.
