## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Event Manager to join our team at JW Marriott in Hong Kong.

As an Assistant Event Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of events and banquets. You will be responsible for inspecting the grooming and attire of staff, communicating with guests and other employees, and setting up banquet areas.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring staff work together as a team and rectifying any deficiencies in grooming and attire

- Communicating with guests and other employees to meet their needs

- Setting up banquet areas, including arranging furniture and equipment

- Inspecting and maintaining table set-ups for cleanliness and neatness

- Assisting with hiring, training, and evaluating employees

- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others

You will also be required to follow all company and safety policies and procedures, report accidents and injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

- At least 1 year of related work experience

- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
