## Description

Join Enfield's Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) as a Lead Child Protection Practitioner. The Enfield MACPT is a new model developed in response to national expectations for stronger, more consistent and timely multi-agency child protection decision-making. We are bringing together experienced practitioners from children's social care, police, health and education so that information is shared earlier, thresholds are applied consistently, and decisive protective action is taken when a child is experiencing or is likely to experience significant harm.

As a Lead Child Protection Practitioner, you will be accountable to the MACPT Service Managers and Head of Safeguarding, and must have significant experience of working to protect children at risk of abuse inside or outside of the home. You will work closely with partners from education, police and health to deliver on all operational aspects of the MACPT, following national legislation and guidance, the local Enfield MACPT Operating Protocol and the local Enfield MACPT Quality Assurance and Outcome Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

- Identifying and responding to actual or likely significant harm

- Engaging children and families during Section 47 enquiries

- Formulating the likelihood of significant harm and planning and intervening to prevent and stop actual or likely significant harm

- Attending MACPT operational meetings and participating in planning and reviews of the MACPT

- Evidencing the success of the MACPT through excellent practice making robust decisions and taking action to prevent and stop child abuse

We are looking for enthusiastic, able, experienced managers or advanced practitioners who are passionate about the social work profession and dedicated to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children. You will need to evidence understanding of family safeguarding as this is the strength-based approach underpinning practice in Enfield.

In return, we offer:

- An excellent pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)

- Up to 32 days annual leave depending on grade and length of service

- 1 month paid sabbatical after 3 years of continuous service

- A blend of remote and office-based working for most roles

- Interest-free season ticket loan repayable over three or ten months

- Career development and learning experiences from a range of training courses and learning methods

- Employee Assistance Programme to provide advice and counselling services

- Health and leisure discounts and tax-free bikes for work

Salary: GBP 57,375 - 72,777 per year
