## Description

We are seeking a Machinist, Maintenance to join our team at GDIT. As a machinist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment. The successful candidate will have 1+ year of machining experience and be able to interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions.

Responsibilities:

- Set up, operate, and maintain vertical and/or horizontal 5-axis CNC mills

- Interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions

- Possess own basic hand tools

- Work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organisational goals

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED

- 1+ year of machining experience

- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance

- US citizenship required

Preferred qualifications:

- Strong mathematical skills

- Vocational, Technical, Community Colleges or Apprentice programs

- Machine technology educational program

- Shipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program completion
