## Description

High Tech High in Point Loma is seeking a High School Spanish Teacher to join the teaching team at one of its six high schools.

The ideal candidate will embody High Tech High's design principles of Equity, Personalization, Authentic Work, and Collaborative Design in all work activities and actions.

Responsibilities include:

- Creating daily lesson plans with project-based assignments that are engaging, educational, and exciting for students

- Planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences

- Incorporating goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to students' lives

- Achieving school and course-wide performance goals for every student in class

- Grading assignments and homework regularly to keep students updated on their progress

- Identifying students who are struggling with learning, emotional problems, or situations at home, and finding them the resources they need

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

- Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time

- Ability to work with professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, equity, honesty, and personal accountability

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Exceptional administrative and organization skills

- Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods

- Critical thinking skills

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree

- Valid California Teaching Credential or out-of-state teaching license in the subject desired to teach

Salary: $64,735 - $115,369 per year, commensurate with experience and education level.
