## Description

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a qualified Adult Audiologist to join their busy Audiology department. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services for adults across various hospitals, including Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking full audiological assessments, developing and implementing individual plans for patients, and modifying ear moulds using laboratory equipment. They will also be involved in training BSC students and some research.

Applicants should possess a BSc Audiology Honours degree or equivalent qualification and be registered or eligible with RCCP/HCPC registration. This post is suitable for newly qualified graduate audiologists.

The salary for this position ranges from £36,943 to £44,900 per annum, inclusive of High Cost Area Supplement. This is a fixed-term, full-time position lasting 6 months.

**Main Duties:**

- Undertake full audiological assessments of patients

- Assist in complex and non-routine cases

- Carry out examinations of the ear by otoscopy

- Analyse results to determine the next stage of diagnostics required

- Develop and implement individual plans for patients

- Modify ear moulds using laboratory equipment

**Responsibilities:**

- Select appropriate hearing aids and prescription formulae based on needs assessment and diagnostic test results

- Accurately fit digital hearing aids to patients

- Evaluate hearing aid fitting using real ear/probe microphone measurements

- Follow up to enable fine-tuning of digital hearing aids and onward referral to other specialist services

**Requirements:**

- BSc or PTP in Audiology or equivalent

- Registration with Health Professions Council / RCCP

- Competent in managing adult diagnostic and rehabilitative caseload

- Aware of current UK Audiology guidance, including NICE

- Ability to communicate effectively with hearing-impaired patients

- Able to work under pressure

**Desirable Skills:**

- Post-qualification experience working in an adult audiology department

- Interest and aptitude for research and development of the clinical service

- Ability to communicate using sign language
