## Description

We are seeking a Decision Analyst to join our team at Barclays in Noida, Candor TechSpace.

The purpose of this role is to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, develop robust decision models, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders across departments.

**Accountabilities**

- Identify and extract relevant data from various internal and external sources.

- Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing models.

- Develop and implement data quality control procedures.

- Build and validate quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.

**Analyst Expectations**

- Perform prescribed activities in a timely and high-quality manner, driving continuous improvement.

- Possess in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise.

- Demonstrate thorough understanding of underlying principles and concepts within their area of expertise.

- Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.

- Alternatively, develop technical expertise in their work area, acting as an advisor where appropriate.

- Impact the work of related teams within the area.

- Partner with other functions and business areas.

- Take responsibility for end results of a team's operational processing and activities.

- Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately.

- Embed new policies/procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.

- Advise and influence decision-making within their area of expertise.

- Manage risk and strengthen controls in relation to their work.

- Deliver work and areas of responsibility in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.

- Maintain and build an understanding of how their sub-function integrates with the function and organisation's products, services, and processes.

- Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives.

- Make evaluative judgements based on factual information analysis, paying attention to detail.

- Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through acquired technical experience.

- Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.

- Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function.

**Requirements**

- Strong data skills using SAS, SQL & Python.

- Analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate data, identify patterns and trends, and generate insights.

- Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and validate assumptions.

- Experience in developing predictive statistical models, forecasting techniques, machine learning & Risk-Reward models.

- Proven experience in making strategic recommendations through analytics in Unsecured lending, Banking, Retail, eCommerce, or pharmaceutical domains.

- Critical and strategic thinking to solve complex business problems.

- Effective articulation and storytelling ability to communicate complex analytical findings.

- Strong commercial understanding of unsecured lending products, risk, and affordability policy.

**Location**: This role is based in our Noida, Candor Techspace office.
