## Description

The Identity & Integrity organization at Lyft is looking for software engineers to build, improve, and incorporate technologies that make the lives of the community more enriched and safe.

As a Software Engineer in the Identity team, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

- Designing and enhancing Lyft's Login & Signup Experiences, including Multi-factor authentication (MFA) experiences

- Optimizing verification funnels, including phone-based two-factor authentication (2FA), email verification, and identity provider single sign-ons (SSO)

- Overseeing session management and device validation

- Developing OAuth client provisioning and related tooling

- Acting as the frontline defense against fraudsters and phishers aiming to exploit rider and driver accounts through product vulnerabilities

- Implementing strategies to counteract risks posed by social engineering tactics

- Leading the maintenance and optimization of core microservices under the Identity team's purview

- Managing organizational structures and multi-user management systems

- Designing solutions for high-stakes challenges such as preventing unauthorized driving and thwarting abuse related to recycled phones and their numbers

Responsibilities:

- Writing well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code

- Promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices

- Implementing identity and security protocols to secure and protect Lyft users' data at scale

- Partnering with teams across Lyft on identity and account security initiatives

- Sharing knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and evangelizing appropriate tech and engineering best practices

Experience:

- 3+ years of engineering experience working in any of these stacks; Python, GO, Java, etc.

- Experience with cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud(GCP), Oracle Cloud, etc.

- Ability to write clear, scalable, and clear design documentation

- Relevant experience mentoring engineers on the team
