## Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Data Scientist to work in our Houston, Texas office on a hybrid schedule. The successful candidate will design, develop, and apply advanced analytic models to transform structured and unstructured data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making.

Responsibilities:

- Formulate and define analytics solution objectives and technical requirements based on user needs and business processes

- Conceptualize, build, develop, and enhance clients' analytic models

- Embed analytic models in business processes and operational systems

- Apply best practices to analytics solutions and contribute to the development of improved best practices

- Summarize complex ideas by developing visual models to display insights

- Communicate analytics solutions to stakeholders

Education and Experience Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent

- 2+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge and Skills:

- Advanced knowledge of data science methodologies, including classical regression, neural nets, and text mining

- Ability to translate business requirements into mathematical models and data science objectives

- Advanced understanding of analytics software, such as R, SAS, and Python

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
