## Description

We are seeking a Licensing Assistant to support the Council's Private Sector Housing enforcement and licensing functions. The successful candidate will provide administrative, office and fieldwork support activities in relation to private sector housing and licensing within the Neighbourhoods and Environment Directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide a professional, proactive, customer-focused support service to the organisation within the Private Sector Housing & Licensing Team.

- Assist in ensuring that all Private Rented Property Licensing applications and associated matters are processed and resulting decisions are properly prepared and issued.

- Assist in the proper processing of the administrative function for Private Rented Property Licensing; including data entry, arranging/attending public inquiries/hearings and liaising with the Private Rented Property Licensing Compliance and Enforcement Teams and landlords/tenants as necessary.

- Represent the team and department at internal and external meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- English and Math Qualification

- Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification

- As a public authority, we must ensure that members of staff in public-facing roles are able to speak fluent English.
