## Description

Wonderschool aims to ensure every child has access to early education that helps them realise their full potential. They provide software, coaching, and support to child care program providers and partner with governments to modernise the public child care system.

### About the Role

We are seeking a Data Lead to build the data foundation for our commercial product, government platform, and AI agents. This hands-on role involves writing SQL, shipping models, loading data, and debugging pipelines daily. You will focus on creating a single, trusted model of our providers, children, and families, and delivering state-mandated data work for government partners.

### Responsibilities

- Develop the canonical data model for providers, sites, children, and families across multiple databases

- Structure data for AI agents to read and act on it

- Own data delivery for the state government platform, including Data Hub integration and legacy migration

- Lead identity resolution and deduplication across legacy state systems

- Define and document key business metrics and make them self-serve for operations teams

- Set data quality standards and implement monitoring and alerting

- Use AI agents to automate workflows and help other teams with data questions

- State data loads pass validation without issues

- Zero duplicate-provider incidents across systems

- Anyone in the company can quickly answer provider performance questions

- AI agents deliver accurate, personalised coaching to providers

- Business metrics are well-defined and trusted

### Who You Are

You are an experienced data professional who has worked in a regulated environment, such as govtech, healthtech, or fintech. You are skilled in data modelling, governance, and entity resolution, and are comfortable working with AI agents. You prefer to work independently and automate tasks rather than hire additional staff.
