## Description

Howden's Strategic Data & Analytics team builds analytical products to support growth across Howden Employee Benefits. The team works directly with consultants, client directors, and project teams to deliver products that enable better decision-making and solve complex challenges.

As a Strategic Data & Analytics Product Owner, you will own delivery end-to-end and lead the development of reusable components, frameworks, templates, and working practices that allow a small team to serve the whole business. Your approach will be to build fewer things, build them fast, and build them once so they can be used many times.

Key accountabilities:

- Work directly with senior leaders and client-facing colleagues to turn commercial questions into defined, decidable ones, and turn answers into products

- Own delivery of analytical products end-to-end, from initial conversations to production-ready products

- Lead development of reusable components, libraries, frameworks, templates, and working practices

- Build for reuse and hand-off: configurable, documented, and maintainable by others

- Work within the firm's software development lifecycle and governance requirements

- Support technical development of colleagues, including reviewing their work

- Keep delivery momentum when priorities shift

Skills and experience:

- Consulting mindset with experience working across various problems

- Enjoy helping senior leaders and teams make better decisions using data, analytics, and visualization

- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

- Strong team player with a focus on sharing knowledge and building networks

- Comfortable with uncertainty and speed, and interested in new problems with incomplete information

- Effective in a distributed team with most collaboration happening over Teams

- Experience taking analytical products from brief to sustained use

- Experience building reusable parts and living with what you've built after release

- Substantial experience building analytical products in Python, with exposure to tools like Shiny for Python, Quarto, git, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Terraform
