The Legal team helps the company grow responsibly, advocating for Brex and for the thousands of growing businesses we serve.

As Head of Regulatory Affairs, you will lead Brex's Regulatory Affairs function and guide the company's relationships and interactions with its federal and state regulators.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and foster productive relationships and interactions between Brex business functions and federal and state regulatory and supervisory staff

- Lead preparation and oversee execution of regulatory exams and other supervisory engagements

- Build and run the program management infrastructure for regulatory commitments

- Identify potential risk areas and advise on corrective actions

- Provide thought leadership and strategic advisory support to senior management and the board regarding the regulatory environment and supervisory matters

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state

- 8+ years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, audit, consulting, or regulatory agencies

- 5+ years of experience working directly with banking regulators

- Significant experience supporting integrated projects or programs where senior leaders and external stakeholders are your customers

- Working knowledge of commercial financial products and the associated regulatory frameworks and risk management practices

Compensation: The expected salary range for this role is $270,000 - $335,000 USD.
