As a SAT Prep Teacher, you will play a critical role in helping students prepare for the SAT and achieve their college goals. ## Hiring for School Year 2026–27! You'll coach students through frustration, build their confidence, and celebrate every point gained. - A commitment to excellence: You know the SAT inside and out , the patterns, the traps, the timing strategies. - Total belief in every student: You'll never accept "I'm just not a good test-taker." - Passion for content and a love of the game: You find the SAT genuinely interesting , its logic, its quirks, its predictability once you crack the code. ## Key Responsibilities ### Instruction & Test Prep Delivery - Deliver engaging, targeted SAT prep lessons in Reading & Writing and/or Math aligned to the current digital SAT format. - Teach test-taking strategies, time management, process of elimination, and question-type recognition alongside core content. - Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies (including SAT-specific platforms) to enhance student performance. - Manage a classroom of 20+ scholars in a focused, high-energy environment. ### Assessment & Score Growth - Administer and analyze regular practice tests to identify student strengths, weaknesses, and score trends. - Use diagnostic data to personalize instruction and target the highest-leverage skill gaps. - Provide timely, specific feedback to help students improve section scores and overall performance. - Maintain accurate records of student practice scores, progress, and readiness. ### Classroom Management - Establish and enforce classroom norms and procedures that support focused, test-like conditions. ### Communication & Collaboration - Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians about score progress, pacing, and strategies for at-home practice. - Collaborate with fellow teachers, school leaders, and college counseling staff to align SAT prep with broader college readiness goals. ## Minimum Qualifications - A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required). - Strong command of SAT Math and/or Reading & Writing content and strategy. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Passion for learning and an unwavering commitment to student development. - Ability to work in person in New York City. ## Benefits & Compensation - A mission with meaning: You'll play a direct role in opening college doors for students who might otherwise never have had the chance. - Skills that set you apart: Build expertise in data-driven instruction, differentiated coaching, public speaking, and student motivation. - World-class coaching and development: No education background?
