## Description

Datadog's Investor Relations team communicates the company's strategy, financial performance, metrics, and market position to the investment community. The Investor Relations VP role is strategic, reporting to the SVP, Strategic Finance and Investor Relations, and interacting with company executives, finance teams, sell-side analysts, and shareholders.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in designing, creating, delivering, and communicating information to the investment community. Key responsibilities include:

- Owning the quarterly earnings process, including writing press releases and scripts, and preparing management for Q&A

- Planning and optimizing engagement with existing shareholders while targeting new ones

- Understanding financial statements and performance; formulating quarterly revenue and profit guidance with FP&A

- Leading interactions with sell-side research analysts and analysts performing due diligence

- Discussing company business models, financials, product innovation, and market opportunities with investors and analysts

- Ensuring regular communication with existing top shareholders and targeting new potential long-term shareholders

- Prioritizing and organizing conferences and analyst sessions for IR/management to participate in or host

- Organizing additional investor outreach opportunities

- Supporting the preparation of presentations, including board material, investor decks, and other presentations

- Leading comps analyses versus other SaaS/software companies and other equity market analyses

- Supporting ad hoc analytical projects from management, finance, etc.

Requirements and qualifications:

- BA/BS in finance, accounting, economics, or engineering; MBA, CFA, or other advanced graduate degree or designation preferred

- 10+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, or equity investing

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to speak confidently with executive leadership, investors, sell-side analysts, and others

- Deep understanding of financial statements and metrics drivers, dependencies, and implications for analysis and forecasting

- Ability to understand the nuances of Datadog's business model, product, and market

- Knowledge and ability to discuss the evolution and business models in the enterprise software and cloud spaces

- Highly proficient with Excel; ability and interest in learning analytical tools and software programming languages as needed

- Experience at a high-growth tech company is a plus
