We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

**Principal Responsibilities**

**Application Development**

- Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and secure applications using Java and Spring Framework.

- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services using technologies such as Spring Boot.

- Write clean, maintainable and reusable code in line with agreed engineering standards.

- Develop unit and integration tests to support reliable and high-quality delivery.

- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.

**CI/CD and Deployment Automation**

- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing and deployment activities.

- Integrate automated unit, integration, security and quality checks into delivery pipelines.

- Support automated deployments across development, testing and production environments.

- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve the speed and consistency of software delivery.

**Software Engineering and Quality**

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.

- Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with relevant technology and security standards.

- Contribute to application performance, resilience, observability and scalability improvements.

- Support technical documentation, including solution designs, operational procedures and deployment guidance.

**Requirements**

- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework, preferably including Spring Boot, Spring Batch.

- Practical experience with CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, Git CI/CD or equivalent.

- Understanding of automated build, testing, deployment and release processes.

- Understanding of Agile software development and the full software development lifecycle.

- Awareness of application security, secure coding and production support practices.

- React, Node and cloud experience will be preferred.
