## Description

We are expanding our team of engineers that owns and operates an extensive technology platform for BlackRock SMA Solutions. As a member of this team, you will build, enhance, and support a wide variety of micro-services that enable financial portfolio construction, data integrations to connect diverse systems, and real-time operational workflows.

Responsibilities:

- Build, enhance, and support micro-services for financial portfolio construction and data integrations

- Work with team and stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities address business needs

- Troubleshoot problems in a live environment and provide real-time help with critical issues

- Write code that is easily understood and maintainable by other team members

- Keep up to date with developments in technologies we are using

- Communicate and work effectively with various business departments

Requirements:

- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

- At least 5+ years of experience as an engineer with large-scale systems

- Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals,algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and paradigms

- Strong knowledge of one or more modern object-oriented languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.)

- Experience with web development and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar)

- Solid knowledge of SQL and relationship databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase, etc.)

- Knowledge of API design approaches (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC)

Desired additional qualifications:

- Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Experience integration with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics

- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, AWS SQS or other messaging technologies

- Familiarity with other structured storage or NoSQL solutions (Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.)

- Background in statistical and/or financial analysis
