## Description

Join the Utah County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff I – Corrections. This entry-level position offers a starting salary of $29.95/hour and opportunities for advancement to Deputy Sheriff II – Corrections with experience. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the Utah County Security Center.

Responsibilities include:

- Inmate booking, housing, transportation, supervision, and inmate work programs

- Working varied shifts, including nights, days, and weekends

- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- At least 19 years old to attend POST Academy

- Valid driver's license (Utah license required within 60 days of hire)

Testing and Interview Process:

- Video exam: score at least 80%

- Physical fitness test: 1.5-mile run in 17 minutes or less, 30-second plank, 10 push-ups without rest

- In-person interview with the hiring panel
