## Description

Mastercard's Business & Market Insights (B&MI) team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to create products that help customers understand their customers and the market better.

The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of experience in Data Science, with expertise in machine learning, data science solutions, feature engineering, model training, and deployment.

Key responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and productionize machine learning and data science solutions

- Perform exploratory data analysis and translate complex datasets into actionable insights

- Optimize data pipelines and ML workflows for performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability

- Develop robust and reusable Python components

- Use PySpark to process large datasets efficiently

- Write advanced, optimized SQL for data extraction and analytical workloads

- Apply controls for data privacy, security, and responsible AI

Good to have: Understanding of building Generative AI applications using Python and modern GenAI frameworks.

The successful candidate will drive the evolution of Business & Market Insights products, participate in product development, identify and evaluate AI/ML techniques, and partner with roles across the organization.
