As a Senior Associate, Data Science - Consumer Credit Risk Models and Data at Capital One, you will be part of a team that's leading the next wave of disruption using the latest in computing and machine learning technologies.

The Consumer Credit Risk Management Models and Data Team blends cutting-edge quantitative methods with a deep understanding of the business, data, and regulatory environment to build and deploy predictive models for losses, account volumes, and outstanding balances.

In this role, you will:

- Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love

- Leverage a broad stack of technologies , Python, Conda, AWS, Spark, and more , to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of data

- Optimize and deploy machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation

- Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technical, a data guru, and statistically-minded.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM field, experience working with AWS, and experience with Python, Scala, or R.
