## Description

ShipMonk is seeking a strategic transportation leader to oversee its entire transportation network, including small parcel, freight (LTL and FTL), air, and ocean.

The goal is to achieve lower costs, faster delivery, and a better customer experience simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for ShipMonk's transportation network

- Design and optimize the carrier network to reduce costs and delivery times

- Build and manage a high-performing team

- Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency

- Negotiate contracts with national and regional carriers

- Partner with Product to optimize the Virtual Carrier Network tool

- Manage carrier relationships and escalations

- Analyze carrier invoices and performance to inform strategic decisions

- Identify opportunities to improve internal and external vendor processes

Requirements:

- Strategic thinking with attention to detail

- Proven experience in building and leading strong teams

- Excellent communication and analytical skills

- Direct experience with high-volume small parcel shipping

- Understanding of carrier invoicing and surcharges

- Experience with regional carriers and multiple modes of transportation

- Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

- At least 3 years in a similar senior leadership position

- At least 5 years of experience in a similar environment
