## Description

Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity's reach into the solar system.

As an Astranis CAD Engineer you will design, develop, configure, and maintain spacecraft components and assemblies like bracketry, harnesses, propulsion manifolds, and waveguides.

Responsibilities:

- Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures

- Work with the management of top-level spacecraft assemblies in CAD, as well as create and maintain BOMs in the transfer to production

- Check and review engineering drawings

- Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design

- Assist in recruiting, interviewing and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team

Requirements:

- 1-3 years of experience in a design role

- Experience with SolidWorks

- Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings

- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on development

Preferred qualifications:

- Expertise of SolidWorks and PDM Administration

- Experience with design of complex assemblies and components

- Experience in the design of spaceflight components and/or vacuum compatible systems

- Experience with surface modeling
