## Description

We're looking for a Senior Developer Events & Community Manager to lead our developer events and in-person community strategy, shaping experiences for 1Password and building relationships with developers.

You’ll start with San Francisco and New York City and help expand the program to other cities over time. You'll own the strategy and details, from deciding whether a conference is worth the investment to welcoming developers at an event you helped produce.

**What you can expect:**

- Shape our events strategy, building a thoughtful calendar of conferences, meetups, and 1Password-hosted events.

- Own conference and sponsorship decisions, evaluating opportunities, managing organizer relationships and budgets.

- Create developer events people want to attend, planning and running meetups, workshops, dinners, and other gatherings.

- Build community between events, creating ways for developers to stay connected, return, contribute, and bring others in.

- Show up in person, being an active host and 1Password representative.

- Connect events to the broader DevRel program, partnering with our Principal Developer Advocate on talks, technical content, and experiences.

- Work closely with marketing and sales, building useful follow-up paths and measuring how events contribute to relationships, adoption, and pipeline.

- Tell the story as it happens, capturing photos, short videos, and takeaways that help extend the reach of our events.

**What we're looking for:**

- Experience building developer events or communities, ideally at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology company.

- A track record of growing an engaged community.

- Strong event production skills.

- Experience managing sponsorships, vendors, and budgets.

- Comfort working with developer advocates, marketing, and sales.

- Strong relationships and communication skills with developers, organizers, speakers, partners, and internal teams.

- The ability to work independently, prioritize well, and travel as the program grows.

**Bonus points** if you have existing relationships in the San Francisco or New York developer communities, or experience working in security, identity, or infrastructure.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $133,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
