## Description

The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Sonographer to join their Imaging department team on a bank shift basis. This role involves working on an 'as and when required' basis to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a high-quality ultrasound service to patients.

- Carry out diagnostic ultrasound scans within your scope of competence, adhering to high technical and quality standards.

- Assist in planning and maintaining an effective workflow within the department.

- Complete and maintain departmental records, including patient charges.

- Participate in Quality Assurance tests and contribute to supervision, training, and peer review.

- Report equipment malfunctions and comply with department policies, protocols, and SOPs.

**Requirements:**

- Broad range of sonography competencies.

- Experience of autonomous practice and independent reporting.

- Customer care experience, including handling challenging situations.

- Diploma in medical ultrasound (DMU) or Post-graduate certificate or diploma.

- Competency in assessing, scanning, diagnosing, and reporting ultrasound cases.

- Understanding of safe clinical practice and Health & Safety regulations.

- Familiarity with IT systems such as RIS / PACS.
