## Description

As a Director within the Business Continuity and Resilience Risk Management (BCRM) team at Capital One, you will oversee and challenge risk-taking across various businesses, implement and govern the Operational Resilience Framework, and respond to crises and incidents.

Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing and challenging risk-taking by the First Line of Defense across Card, Retail, Commercial, Auto, and Enterprise Services Lines of Business

- Implementing and governing the Operational Resilience Framework across Capital One

- Responding to and reporting on crises and incidents

- Understanding emerging resiliency risks and preparing the First Line of Defense to respond

- Collaborating with stakeholders and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve objectives

- Articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and actionable manner

- Overseeing data-driven, risk-based analysis

The role requires:

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 8 years of experience in risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, or audit

- At least 5 years of financial services industry experience or regulatory environment experience

- At least 3 years of experience in people management

- At least 3 years of experience consulting with and presenting to senior executive leadership

Preferred qualifications include:

- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Risk Management, or a related analytical field

- Proven experience in a 2nd Line of Defense risk management role

- Deep familiarity with US and international operational resilience and risk management regulatory standards

- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP/MBCP) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

- Experience leading data-driven risk analyses and overseeing corporate crisis management or incident response frameworks

The salary range for this role is:

- McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 per year

- Plano, TX: $187,300 - $213,700 per year

- Richmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 per year

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
