As a Facility Attendant 1, you will perform a wide variety of minor maintenance tasks in addition to all other duties as assigned pertaining to the general upkeep and maintenance of the Distribution Center. The starting hourly rate is $24.50 USD per hour, with potential additional compensation in the form of a shift differential ranging from $2.00 to $3.50 per hour, based on eligibility. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting Maintenance Technicians in performing mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance throughout the facility - Acting as a Qualified Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes - Evaluating and inspecting the interior/exterior of the facility to determine general upkeep or repair requirements - Changing PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) batteries and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on batteries - Completing maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of Label Tec Printers - Operating hand and power tools such as drills, saws, sanders, grinders, pneumatic tools, and welders - Constructing or repairing assets within the facility such as assembling furniture, building shelving or racks, and repairing workbenches - Completing plumbing tasks such as installation or repairing of faucets and landscape sprinklers - Performing tasks such as painting and drywall repairs, concrete patching, or minor concrete replacement - Assisting in all duties related to the preventive maintenance programs - Removing cardboard bales from bailers, removing trash from buildings, and keeping building grounds in a neat and orderly manner - Operating snow removal equipment to clean all walks, roads, and parking lots as assigned - Driving Target owned vehicles to execute yard cleanup, respond to yard incidents, escort vendors, and pick up parts and materials as required Physical demands of the job include: - Lifting and carrying merchandise weighing up to 47 lbs. regularly, and up to 60 lbs. on an infrequent basis - Moving about within and around the site with great frequency (up to 10-12 hours per shift) - Working in various temperature-controlled environments including temperatures below freezing - Working in conditions that may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces Requirements for the role include: - Possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license for state employed - Ability to work both independently and in a team environment - Effective communication skills - Accurately using basic math skills - Ability to be certified to operate all power equipment - Ability to use maintenance tools; saws, drills, etc. - Ability to read and comprehend labels, tickets, instructions, etc. - Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-motivate Target offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, which may include medical, vision, dental, life insurance and more.
