As a Technical Program Manager in the Life Sciences department, you will own the program of work that expands access to Anthropic's life sciences verification programs, ensuring safety and scalability. The Life Sciences Verification Program (LSVP) provides verified life science professionals with access to Claude, Anthropic's AI model, with enhanced safeguards for biology-related work.

Responsibilities:

- Own the program for expanding access to Anthropic's life sciences verification programs, including scoping, sequencing, dependencies, and trade-offs across safeguards, platform, and product engineering teams.

- Scope and drive cross-org engineering work required for each expansion, from new plan and account types to new platforms.

- Partner with the product manager to turn program goals into a sequenced plan with clear owners and dates.

- Drive clarity on data access, retention, and review requirements, and the changes they require across safeguards, access, and provisioning.

- Drive user experience scoping across the Claude product surfaces where the program is available.

- Identify and remove technical blockers that prevent eligible organizations from accessing life sciences capabilities.

- Establish the operating rhythm, including a single view of workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, and status, with planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination across orgs.

- Convert recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes to reduce bespoke coordination for future expansions.

Requirements:

- Several years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs.

- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations, including safeguards, platform, and product partners.

- Ability to engage with engineers, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across distributed teams.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.

- Passionate about Anthropic's mission and interested in bringing AI capabilities to the life sciences community safely and reliably.

The annual compensation range for this role is $290,000-$365,000 USD.
