As a Principal Associate, Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll be part of a team leading the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies.

**Role Description** In this role, you will:

- Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver a product customers love

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in huge volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

**The Ideal Candidate is:**

- Customer-focused, innovative, creative, a leader, technical, statistically-minded, and a data guru

- Comfortable with open-source languages and cloud computing platforms

- Experienced in data science solutions, machine learning, and big data

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)

- Relevant experience in data analytics

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's or PhD in STEM field

- Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, machine learning, and SQL

**Salary Information:**

- McLean, VA: $161,800 - $184,600

- Plano, TX: $147,100 - $167,900
