## Description

The Derivative Trading Operations team at HKEX operates the regions' premier derivative markets with expanding global reach. We are seeking a high-calibre professional to manage the operations for the trading of futures and options on various underlying assets or indices, develop rules and policies for derivatives market trading, and ensure the trading environment is transparent, fair, orderly, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

- Manage operational risks and provide services to Exchange Participants during mid-shift hours (2pm-11pm)

- Ensure trading activities comply with relevant regulations, rules, and operational procedures

- Provide excellent customer service to Exchange Participants and maintain relationships with various functions

- Communicate effectively with Exchange Participants and external stakeholders as the command centre for the Derivatives Market

- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects, including system enhancements and market microstructure improvements

- Streamline and automate workflows, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation plans

- Develop and review operating procedures and contingency plans

- Stay updated on international trends in derivatives market development

Requirements:

- University degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines

- Good understanding of derivatives products, market practices, and trading platforms

- Sound knowledge of derivatives market operations and regulations

- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance/derivatives trading; high-calibre candidates with less experience will be considered

- Good communication and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage

- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and VBA an advantage

- Ability to work shift duties, with experience being an added advantage
