## Description

IOM is seeking an Information Management (IM) and Geographic Information System (GIS) Consultant to support the Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM) unit in Amman, Jordan.

The consultant will be responsible for developing GIS systems, data collection tools, databases, and statistical reports and maps.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the implementation and routine monitoring of project activities

- Supporting the maintenance, updating, and routine operation of programme databases and data collection systems

- Contributing to the implementation of established data gathering and information management mechanisms

- Conducting routine data processing, cleaning, and basic analysis of collected data

- Assisting programme staff in the adaptation and use of data collection tools, databases, and standard statistical outputs

- Supporting the routine use and operation of existing GIS systems to produce maps and spatial outputs

- Performing data visualization and mapping using GIS software and other approved data visualization platforms

- Providing user support to programme staff and implementing partners on the use of IM and GIS tools

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field

- Three years of relevant professional experience in GIS and mapping systems

- Experience in supporting the management and coordination of information flows, data management, and analysis

- Knowledge of SQL database, Microsoft Office, QGIS, ArcGIS, and KoboCollect applications

- Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written)
