## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Scientist at Capital One, you will lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies across billions of customer records. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products customers love, leveraging a broad stack of technologies such as Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver products

- Leverage technologies to reveal insights in large volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

The Ideal Candidate:

- Is creative, a leader, technical, statistically-minded, and a data guru

- Has experience with open-source languages, cloud computing platforms, and machine learning

- Can retrieve, combine, and analyze data from various sources and structures

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)

- 7, 5, or 2 years of experience performing data analytics respectively

- 2 years of experience with open-source programming languages, machine learning, and relational databases

Preferred Qualifications:

- PhD in STEM field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience with AWS, managing people, and Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis

Salary Information:

- McLean, VA: $229,900 - $262,400

- New York, NY: $250,800 - $286,200
