## Description

We are seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members and ensuring that our guests have an exceptional shopping experience.

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $26.00 - $28.00, and the full pay range is $26.00 - $44.20 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including labour markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

- Leading a team of hourly team members and providing guidance and support to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service

- Ensuring that our guests have an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly experience in our store

- Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

- Leading the execution of daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement

- Educating team members on operational procedures and how they affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability

- Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns

- Evaluating candidates for open positions and developing a guest-centric team

- Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfilment processes

- Demonstrating inclusivity and valuing diverse voices and approaches

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct and following all Target policies and safety procedures

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys interacting and helping others

- Thrives in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role

- Is open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts

- Has a high school diploma or equivalent

- Is 18 years or older

- Has previous retail experience (preferred but not required)

- Can lead and hold others accountable

- Can communicate effectively and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Can work independently and as part of a team

- Can manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Has a welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members
