## Description

CSC Generation is seeking a Director, M&A Origination to build and own the acquisition funnel, sourcing proprietary opportunities, cultivating intermediary relationships, and putting actionable deals in front of the investment team.

The successful candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a comparable principal-investing environment with business development or deal origination as a major component of the role. They will have a demonstrable track record of sourcing transactions that closed, established relationships across bankers, brokers, lenders, and advisors in the middle market, and investing acumen sufficient to size a business and form a view on whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining the acquisition funnel end to end

- Segmenting the target universe, running structured outreach cadences, and sustaining relationships across multi-year cultivation cycles

- Originating proprietary opportunities by engaging directly with owners, founders, and management teams

- Screening opportunities against investment criteria and building the initial commercial case

- Representing CSC credibly with owners, boards, and advisors
