## Description

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at St Edmunds Hospital, part of Circle Health Group. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supporting staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff.

Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs

- Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support

- Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives

- Carry out routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature

- Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care and mobility aids

- Prepare and maintain clinical areas

- Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a care or health support role

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns

- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills

- Physically able to undertake duties, including moving and handling tasks

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable

- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures
