## Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at W Hotels in Hong Kong.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to and attending to guest repair requests, communicating with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Responding to guest repair requests and resolving maintenance issues

- Performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment

- Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines

- Carrying equipment such as tools and radios

- Identifying, locating, and operating all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings

- Maintaining maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed

- Communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts

- Displaying basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry

- Performing surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement

- Testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items

- Programming TVs and performing general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties

- Following company and safety policies and procedures

- Reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries

- Completing safety training and certifications

- Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance

- Welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation

Requirements:

- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent

- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting

- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus

- Driver's License
