## Description

As an Engineering Manager at Monzo, you'll be part of cross-functional, autonomous teams and groups, focusing on people, product, and technical leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Taking accountability for delivery across your squad(s), collaborating with the Technical Lead and Product Manager.

- Fostering a high bar for engineering excellence within your teams.

- Leading a group of around 7-10 engineers, supporting, coaching, and developing them through their careers.

- Partnering with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives that raise the bar for engineering practices.

- Leading communication with stakeholders from other teams.

We're looking for someone with:

- Experience working as a software engineer in previous roles.

- Strong technical and delivery background.

- Ability to operate with ambiguous problem areas and a high degree of autonomy.

- Experience working in an experimentation-led environment (nice to have).

- Delivery experience and ability to guide squads in achieving outcomes.

- Focus on outcomes over processes.

- Understanding of what good looks like for a high-performing team of engineers.

- Ability to coach people to achieve their goals.

- Natural ability to inspire and motivate a team.
