## Description

We are seeking a Tailor Assistant to join our Housekeeping team on board.

As a Tailor Assistant, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the tailor shop, producing, repairing, distributing, and collecting uniforms for team members and officers.

### Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the tailor shop is well-maintained and organized, adhering to working hours and wearing correct uniforms at all times.

- Produce, repair, distribute, and collect uniforms under the supervision of the Tailor.

- Maintain inventory levels within budgets and targets, working with the Tailor to ensure accurate inventory reports.

- Assist with receiving and verifying raw materials and supplies.

- Prepare and maintain reports, books, and paperwork related to tailor shop production.

- Operate and maintain equipment safely, meeting production expectations for quality and quantity.

- Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean work environment.

- Perform regular inventory counts and spot checks to prevent variances.

- Report any issues or discrepancies to the Tailor immediately.

### Physical Requirements

- Standing, walking long distances, using hands to touch, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling.

- Repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs, and lifting more than 25 pounds.

- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

- Physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills.

- Full use and range of arms and legs, as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities.

- Ability to work in different temperature changes.

- Pass a basic safety course.

### Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- High school education preferred.

- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Tailor.

- Physically able to carry at least 40 lbs.

- Effective communication skills for working with shipboard personnel.

- Inventory management skills.
