### Job Description

As an Application Support Engineer at FIC & Risk Technology, you will be part of Millennium's Information Technology organization, which is core to the health and growth of the firm.

#### What You'll Do

- Monitor and automate application, infrastructure, and cloud alerts, responding quickly to production issues.

- Maintain the stability, performance, and uptime of tools and applications owned by the team.

- Perform application and infrastructure monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, and user support.

- Provide L2/L3 production support and take ownership of the production environment for key business applications.

- Identify improvement opportunities, assess business risk accurately, and help prioritize remediation efforts.

- Ensure outstanding issues are effectively handed over to other regions and followed through to resolution.

- Support releases and meetings outside standard working hours, including weekend and shift coverage when required.

- Build deep subject matter expertise and become a trusted point of contact for assigned applications and services.

#### What You Bring

- Experience partnering directly with portfolio managers and traders.

- At least 5 years of professional experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and SQL.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.

- A self-starting approach, with the ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.

- Demonstrated ownership and commitment to carrying tasks through to completion.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWS, is preferred.

- Experience supporting enterprise risk applications in a production environment is preferred.

- Interest in public cloud and serverless architecture is beneficial.
