## Description

We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team at A+ Children's Academy, a public charter school serving K-6th grade students. As an Instructional Aide, you will assist the teacher with classroom activities and help promote positive student behaviors in academics and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

- Support lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups of students and follow instructional plans as assigned.

- Help plan classroom activities as directed by the teacher and support the teacher in student and parent relations.

- Assist with school activities such as parent-faculty nights, faculty meetings, and assemblies.

- Perform clerical duties like grading papers and making copies.

- Assist the teacher in using classroom technology.

- Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom, and other school areas.

- Implement the school's philosophy and mission statement in all activities.

- Other duties as assigned, including field trips, morning duty, and lunch duty.

Performance Expectations:

- Work cooperatively with the teacher and others.

- Act in accordance with directives from the administrator or designee and teacher.

- Contribute to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards.

Requirements:

- Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or passage of the Paraprofessional's Exam.

- Proficiency in MS Office.

- Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.

- Ability to meet educational standards.

- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.

- Understanding and ability to manage confidential information.

- High-quality written and verbal communication skills.

- Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.

- Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.
