As a Senior Strategic Solutions Engineer, you will be part of the Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organisation, responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and adoption roadmap for customers.

Your goal will be to drive customer success through the entire organisation, seeking out and creating scalable solutions for customer needs. You will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support.

Desirable skills and experience include:

- Business fluency in German

- Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritise between competing demands

- Understanding of 'how the internet works', including differences between TCP & UDP, authoritative DNS & recursive DNS, firewalls, TLS, HTTP, and more

- Understanding of how customers make buying decisions and how to explain ROI

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash)

- Previous experience in a pre-sales SE or consulting role

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2

- Exposure to emerging technical landscape trends, e.g., SASE and Zero Trust
