## Description

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Line Inspector for their Power Constructors, Inc. (PCI) sector, based in Fort Worth, Abilene, or Waco, Texas. The successful candidate will have the ability to work remotely from any mutually acceptable location, with potential for up to 100% travel.

The role involves providing inspection support to engineers and project managers to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, contract documents, and codified requirements. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing field inspections on construction projects of moderate scale and complexity

- Examining and evaluating the placement of concrete, installation of underground pipelines, earthwork, and electrical installations

- Generating accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project

- Ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards

The ideal candidate will have:

- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 9 years of relevant post-education experience in a related discipline

- Prior construction inspection experience

- Essential professional licensure/certification(s)

- A valid state driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check

Preferred qualifications include:

- A bachelor's degree in a closely related discipline

- Knowledge of transmission line work, foundations, and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to work in extreme weather conditions, wear company-provided PPE, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
